FoodShare

FoodShare operates several innovative grassroots projects that promote healthy eating, teach food preparation and cultivation, develop community capacity and create non-market-based forms of food distribution.

STOP 103

STOP 103 is a neighbourhood food centre located in Davenport West, a Toronto community that struggles with hunger, high unemployment and homelessness. STOP 103 provides programs and services that address hunger and poverty. Their programs build on the existing strengths of our community and encourage people to find a voice on the issues that matter most to them.

Toronto Community Garden Network

The Toronto Community Garden Network is working to encourage a healthy community gardening movement in the City of Toronto, linking and supporting community gardeners. The Network is sponsored by FoodShare and receives support from a number of other non-profit organizations and departments of the City of Toronto. These include the Parks and Recreation Department, the Evergreen Foundation, Greenest City, Toronto Food Policy Council, Annex Organics, Works and Emergency Services, Earth Council Institute-Canada, Toronto Department of Health, Rooftop Gardens Resource Group.

City of Toronto - Parks and Recreation Division

The City of Toronto Parks and Recreation Division's mission is to ensure that people in the diverse communities of Toronto have full and equitable access to high-caliber locally responsive recreational programs, efficiently operated facilities, and safe, clean and beautiful parks, open spaces, ravines and forests.
